These are good, did you film/direct/edit them at all too?

I wrote them and then when we get there Drew and I both direct them and just do whatever. And Drew edits them.

I watched up 'til Merl kicked the ninja's ass (Funny or Die never gives me the full video). Funny stuff.

How long does it take to make one of these shorts? including the idea and editing and everything? You seem to have loads to show us but I bet some of them are part of your backcatalog right?

I seem to remember seeing merl somewhere before

Merl is one i posted a few months ago. We film 2-3 a week. Some I write that day and go film them. Like the Butterfingers and Twizzlers videos. Others i write and do the next day. We're doing a new one that is taking some planning. We're casting people and renting equipment and I have to re write some parts. It's going to be a high quality one so it'll take longer.

Well it appears that he first posted about the Merl shorts in December of 2007, but no one replied until June 2008.

I really like the music from what I've heard in the first two episodes. My favorite song is the song in episode 2 that plays recapping what happened in episode one. The music that plays throughout episode one and first half of episode 2 reminds me of Toe Jam & Earl, very cool.

After watching the four episodes of Merl on funnyordie, your face started to remind me of Jim Carry's with in the look and then the expressions, but I know it didn't have that look at all in some of the others videos I watched.

Also, any chance you can give a link so I can download that song that plays while recapping episode one, its stuck in my head now.
