It's easy. The same way we have all be pronouncing years before the year 2000. 2012 should be pronounced the same way as 1912.

1912 = nineteen twelve
2012 = twenty twelve
1908 = nineteen oh eight
2008 = twenty oh eight

The only exception is the year 2000 (two thousand), because it's weird saying twenty hundred or twenty oh zero.

What I like to do to mess with people who say the year incorrectly is to ask them what year they were born in, and then point out how they said it differently than the current year.
