HTC Evo Shift 4G. Kinda spiffy. Now I just gotta find some good games for it. I think this Sonic CD game - did we decide it was good or no good?

Three weeks, finally got my first check and almost blew my face off. I guess I didn't really wrap my mind around how much of a pay raise it is compared to my last full time job. Felt like I had the dumbest smile on my face for an hour after I saw it (it helps that I was also expecting it tomorrow or early next week, so it was kind of a surprise to get paid today!), I haven't had this much money in over a year at least. One simple paycheck...
Too bad it's all going to go into fixing my car and paying my dad back, probably rolling into my next check... haha. But hey, least I CAN do that now huh?
2012 is gonna rock.
Ticked: Think I had a bad sugar crash today, haven't felt one like that in a long time. Seriously need to get some checkups done and figure out what's up with my glucose or something. I took a lunch eventually when this happened and that helped, but man it was a bad crash. Maybe because I had fast food yesterday and today (haven't had much fast food at all for a really long time). IT'S JUST SO QUICK AND EASY! ... fixing up my diet and figuring out some health junk will be the real challenge this year, but finally I'm gonna have money so it's going to happen.
Re: What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?
Spent half the day trying to cobble two old (1999) PCs together after a HDD died. (Well, the PCB died -- I'm expecting a repair quote sometime... next year.)
In the meanwhile, I cannibalized an even older (1996) machine for a spare HDD, but I can't install a new OS on it because the CD drives no longer seem to spin as quickly and self-booting discs take way too long to initialize. I have a spare 1st-gen DVDROM, but the motherboard doesn't seem to fully utilize its speed either (slower than a 1x CDROM) and it doesn't seem to be reading bootable DVDs. The mobo has USB ports, but the BIOS is so old, it won't boot from them. (Just floppies, the CD, and SCSI stuff.)
Last ditch effort is that I lump everything from the 1999 model into the 1996 model.
My scheduling skills have died of dysentery; I hope to visit at least on a monthly basis.
Still, don't forget to tip your waitress.
