Made me think of GBA Activision Anthology, the link mode with strictly one screen. I am curious of other games that did this, where the second player had to share the first players game screen on the GBA link setup.

yeah Activision is pretty unique there. But there's lots of games that have 2 Player modes where you'd pass a GBA back and forth. Turn based strategy games for instance. Board games. Etc. There's also Puzzle FIghter II where Player 1 used the D-Pad to move and L button to flip, and Player 2 used the face buttons to move and R button to flip. So you could play that with 2 controllers on the GBPlayer. There's plenty of other examples.

Good stuff, most of those where my favorite from last year too.
For No More Heroes do you have to use the Move, and is it a Revamped version of the Wii title?
If you can see the future while remembering the past, you may just have control of the present.

I don't have a Move. It works fine with the DualShock.

Very diverse picks, Noise. And I agree that you should be free to pick your faves that you played this year, not just the faves that were released. There are enough of those lists already.

well I mean TECHNICALLY all my picks were released in 2011, it's just that No More Horoes PS3 which came out this year is a remake of the older Wii game; SotC/Ico Collection which came out this year is an HD port of the older PS2 games; and SF3 Third Strike OE is an HD remake that came out this year as well. I guess my thinking is that even if they're re-releases, these particular VERSIONS came out in 2011 so... yeah.
