What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?
Re: What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?
Taco Bell use to have the Chicken Flat Bread sandwich for $1 (I think) and I loved it. I would just have to ask them to add sour cream to it, and it was great. Then it disappeared and I was heart broken. Now it's back, but it sucks. There's like two pieces of chicken on the entire thing, and some thing else is just off about it. I wish they didn't bring it back.

I wish McDonalds would bring back the Spicy Chicken Sandwich and the McPizza. Those were great.Ziggy587 wrote:Taco Bell use to have the Chicken Flat Bread sandwich for $1 (I think) and I loved it. I know what you mean. A long time ago Jack in the Box used to do a rotating number of special sandwiches. My favorite was the smokey chicken cheddar bacon one. It was awesome, but then gone for years. They had something with the same ingredients recently (maybe still there) but it sucks.Ziggy587 wrote:Then it disappeared and I was heart broken. There was another version of it? I was familiar of the one on offer this year, had it a few times, liked the Bacon Ranch !Ziggy587 wrote:Taco Bell use to have the Chicken Flat Bread sandwich for $1 (I think) and I loved it. Smile: The Ocean Marketing / Penny Arcade debacle that happened today. Although on some level I understand that a man just lost his job and his immediate means of supporting his family, it is still cathartic to see a bully get what they have coming.
Smile 2: Started playing Portal 2. Well done, Valve.
Frown: Still sickish.

Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Re: What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?
Smile: My brother and I went halves on a computer for our Dad as a Christmas gift. I think it was a pretty good deal, it comes with a brand new, legit copy of Windows 7 Pro.
Ticked: The brainiacs forgot to put the Windows disc in the package. It was pre-installed on the computer, the authenticity sticker is even on the computer case, but they forgot to ship the disc to me. OK, not that big of a deal, I'll just email them and explain and hopefully they'll get me the disc.
This was a few days before Christmas. I emailed them the day I received the package. I got a reply the next day and it basically said to call them up on the phone. ::face palm:: Why bother giving me an email address to contact you with if all you're gonna do is tell me to call you up?
I figured they weren't open on Christmas, so I called them on the 26th. "Hello, you've reached US Micro Corporation. We're currently experiencing high call volumes. Please press 1 to wait to speak to the next representative." So I press 1, it rings a few times and then goes to a voice mail or answering machine. OK, maybe they're off the day after Christmas. That's cool. So I called yesterday, same deal. I called again today, same deal!
I'll give them the benefit of the doubt, maybe they're off this week. Some small businesses vacation this week, I think. But if that's the case, why not tell me that in the email? I email them and ask for help, and I get a generic "call us" message... I don't know, maybe it's me.
Anyways, I just emailed them again and explained that I tried calling the past three days and asked if they could help me through email. It's a pretty simple problem to fix. Hopefully I wont get the run around too much longer with this.
