Just Before I Leave

Post by christopher85 »

Hey guys! I just got a new Wii for Christmas and was looking to buy some fun, unique, and cheap games for it today. So just before I leave I thought of asking what all you would recommend.

If you should all know:
1. My girlfriend wants to play along with me
2. Platformers are ok especially cartoony looking ones
3. Is there any fun games that really make use out of the Wii controller?

the must own titles for the wii with the best controlls in my opinion are..
1- Mario Galaxy Series
2- Kirby
3- Donkey Kong Return
4- Mario Kart Wii
5- Tiger Woods ( From playing them across all consoles, i found the wii version to be the best adapted motion control which mimicks golf to a T)

These are some very fun games for the wii and there are no excuse to give them a shot, because they are pretty cheap now.
PSN- jacktsang05
WiiU- jacktsang05

Do either of you enjoy the idea of shooting up zombies? House of the Dead 2 & 3 Return is pretty fun. It doesn't exactly take full advantage of the motion controls or anything but the wii remote as a "light gun" is one of the least annoying ways to utilize it in my opinion. And I'm pretty sure you can get this game for a decent price.

There is also House of the Dead: Overkill, done in a grindhouse fashion. Has a lot of tounge in cheek humor though, watch mixed company.

There are other rail shooters, one being Sin and Punishment: Star Successor. Various other rail shooters are available, somewhere on the sight there is a list.
Systems: Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, N64, Gamecube, Xbox 360

WTB: Boxes for a silver Gamecube System(and a hyperport cover), and a box for an Ice Blue N64 console. Will pay 7.50 for each and shipping.

Can anyone recommend any sport/ board/trivial type games for the Wii that are not only enjoyable but are addicting as well?

There is a new Wii game, Fortune Street, that has mario characters and looks fun.
