Christmas Bounty Thread 2011

Post by scarper »

I know there's a giving thread, but we need one for GREEED.

On that note, Merry Christmas Racket People.

So yeah, what did you guys get for Christmas so far?

I got a 3DS (Aqua Blue), Metroid Prime Trilogy Collectors Edition, Skyward Sword, Twilight Princess, 100 Dabloons, and a handful of Game Boy games.

So many Christmas threads

Not too many surprises, as I typically always know what I'm getting, but I'm still happy. From what I've opened so far(and I'm receiving more stuff tomorrow)

Rayman Origins(PS 3) - I sort of bought this myself, but not with my own money and I haven't been allowed to play it until today, which I'll do later

Two Nintendo DS systems, the red one and the Zelda 25th anniversary black

Hardcover books 1 and 2 of The Walking Dead

I got a copy of EA Sports Active 2 for the Wii. I've been trying to find a way to motivate myself to start exercising again so getting this is pretty cool. I know a bunch people love all the workout stuff available on the Wii and it seems like a natural fit for people who are big gamers

But... That was last Christmas :P

If this thread needs locking, I am perfectly fine with that. I apologize.

Lol, c'mon Swift. Don't be THAT guy.

I got a lot of neat stuff but none of it is video game related. Well, unless you count a bad ass Mr. Rogers' style cardigan that will be perfect for playing games in my neighborhood.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

The only game-related thing I got under the tree was a wired 360 controller, which will FINALLY let me use the converter I've had for a long time with my awesome PS2 HRAP2 or my PS3 TE stick to play that amazing 360 shmup library. I tested it on Radiant Silvergun earlier and it was divine.

Non-gaming related, I guess the highlights were some conductive gloves so that I can use my phone in the cold, a freezer full of venison, a nice set of cigars, and lots of gift cards (probably to spend on game-related stuff  ). This was also the first Christmas where my son was old enough to have a full understanding of what was going on, and watching him open toys (and play with them) was the best gift of all for a sappy old nostalgic fart like me.

I also got toe socks for men, which I did not know existed and frankly creep me out.

I just remembered that there was a thread last year; just letting him know.

Gaming related, I got Tetris the Card game and a 360 steering wheel. I did get some money and plan on buying a couple of games at GS tomorrow.

Are they in a metal container and are something like sweet tarts? I got my kids each one. I saw them at Toys R Us by the checkout register. The candy were a hit with them!
