What is your favorite Mario Kart game and why? I have always been partial to Mario Kart 64, as I grew up playing it.

mk64 mainly due to the smooth graphics and awesome controls. Alot of fun to play 4 player battle with those colorful n64 controllers :D ... best mk in my oppinion.

PS: Love the yellow controller :D

Mario Kart 64 if there's a room full of willing people -- the mechanics weren't completely fucked by rubber banding/the generous items afforded to those in lower positions/snaking/all the other issues that Kart post N64 have had. Block Fort and 4 controllers is all you need!

Mario Kart DS if I just want to play with myself -- although that may change to Mario Kart 7. I've only just begun, but it's pretty slick. We'll see!

I feel like I can say this about both Mario Kart and F-Zero, I absolutely love the SNES games to death and always will, but I think their N64 sequels took things to the next level in both cases. Had so much fun with SMK64 and F-Zero X was off the hook.

And honestly, I haven't liked either series that much after the N64 games.

I choose SMK, because it's the only one I own (yet).

Definitely prefer MK64. The later iterations are good and all, and there is, of course, love for the original, this is where the series peaked. It ranks among my top 3 most played games ever.

Anyone else play the snes levels via Super Circuit?
Wikipedia wrote:The cups and tracks from Super Mario Kart for the SNES are available in Super Circuit. They have been retitled the Extra Cups. These cups are unlockable by winning a Gold Trophy for the corresponding regular cup and then collecting 100 coins in the same cup.
