Eh.
Maybe the music will be good.
Anyways, I'm going to come out and say Shinobi (PS2) is damn legit. I love that game (still need to play Nightshade or whatever the spiritual successor was), but Shinobi 3 will always be my favorite. Top favorite Genesis OST next to Thunder Force IV in my book.

Re: Shinobi 3D
From reading the article it seems like they did a good job making a new Shinobi game but botched the presentation. Having bad 3D in a 3DS game seems like a big no no. Not a game that would bring people to buy the 3DS but probably one worth buying when it drops in price.

I've always been partial to Shadow Dancer myself for whatever reason, but yeah Shinobi III is an questionable masterpiece on the Genesis. Everything about that game is just... wow. I'm a pretty big fan of the Shinobi series in general to be honest though, I even love the Saturn game. Haven't played Shinobi PS2 yet, but I did get a copy a few months ago and sooner or later I'll definitely give it a spin, looks right down my alley.Xeogred wrote:Eh.

I honestly haven't played much of the old games since I love Shinobi 3's more responsive/fluid controls (being able to run is nice too), but after seeing Batman and Godzilla etc are bosses in the old games... I need to beat them.brunoafh wrote:I've always been partial to Shadow Dancer myself for whatever reason, but yeah Shinobi III is an questionable masterpiece on the Genesis. Re: Shinobi 3D
The thing about Shadow Dancer is that it's more of an arcade style game, not sure if that's your thing or not, but the arcade Shinobi games are just awesome. Shinobi III, Revenge of Shinobi and Shinobi X are more console style games, each style of Shinobi games has their own charm though. Give Shadow Dancer (the Genesis remake is much better than the arcade game, a rarity) a run sometime. It's really damn good.
The one with all the crazy copyright infringement is Revenge of Shinobi, but be sure to play the original version (the first 1989 print) if you want to see all the funny bosses.

Revenge of Shinobi and Shinobi III are both amazing. I like Shadow Dancer, but I find it really hard.
