Ticked Off #1: Went to Gamestop today (yeah I know), bought one new and one pre-owned game. Both games have an equal amount of fingerprints and dust on the disc. Lame.

Ticked Off #2: I mentioned a couple of days ago that I was "done" collecting consoles as my SwanCrystal and 3DO were coming in the mail. Today I get the package that was supposed to contain the pink SwanCrystal. I open it up to see... a blue regular WonderSwan. I'm not sure if I should ask for a refund, or just keep and it leave negative feedback for the seller. Then I can get a real SwanCrystal from a more realiable seller in a couple of months.

Smile: Leaving New England tomorrow to spend a week in Florida.

Ticked Off #3: I hate to leave my house alone for that long. There's been of break-ins in the area and I'm super paranoid. I live in the last house at the end of a dead-end street in a woodsy rural area, which is kind of a double-edged sword for this sort of thing. People rarely travel out to this area, but if someone did no one nearby would be able to spot them. I do have an alarm system and my father is stopping by the house on Wesnesday to check on things so I feel a little better about the situation.

I honestly do not mean to sound like a smart ass but I'm sure that you could ask to see the disc before you leave the store with it just to make sure it looks acceptable. I never do this myself because honestly I usually don't think about it while I'm there, but I don't go there often anyway.
I just bought a wii game the other day though from gamestop and thought to ask to see the disc but I didn't, got home and it looked flawless. Lucky break I guess. haha

Like harper said, you should check the discs before you pay. I've ended up with so many broken discs that I never buy disc-based games at Gamestop without looking at them first (except GCN games, which seem nearly indestructible.)

I'd go with the refund.

Get one of those signs that says "Warning: We do not call 911."

Get a refund. They sent you the wrong thing and need to be educated about it. Hopefully you can do so nicely.

Do you have at least 1 lamp timer set up? Maybe set one up with a radio too depending on how paranoid you're feeling.

Definitely get a refund, I've used both a regular WonderSwan and the Crystal, the difference is big.

Also, just keeping the item and leaving negative feedback without even confronting the seller makes you a douche. Don't be a douche. As a long time seller on Amazon and eBay myself, nothing pisses me off quite as much as someone giving me negative feedback with a nasty message without even giving me the opportunity to make things right, which I am always 100% willing to do. Just explain the situation and you'll probably get a refund. What eBay user sold it to you? I'm familiar with many of the Japanese eBay exporters, if it's a user I'm familiar with and I know has a good track record I'll let you know.

Thanks for the advice regarding the sale mix up everyone. Sorry if I sound like a n00b, I rarely order things off the internet and I haven't quite learned protocol I guess.

@brunoafh

The seller was an Amazon outfit called asianangels99. I will ask for a refund or exchange if possible. I'm hoping it was just a simple mistake, like whoever packed it maybe didn't know the difference between a Crystal and regular Wonderswan.

Yes I did set all this up! I asked my wife if I could rig up a Michael Jordan cardboard cutout to a train set Home Alone style haha.

Smile: Finally hit 1200 coins on my Club Nintendo account for that damn Ball Game & Watch!

Somewhat-Ticked: Knowing me, I'll play it for about 3 minutes and then it'll become a perpetual conversation piece upon my shelf..

I never understood the point of these certifications. If I were hiring an IT person, I would ask questions about their job experience, what projects they worked on, problems they had and and they solved them, and I would also give them some technical problems to see how they would solve them. For the technical problem solving, it's not important to get the answer right but instead, have the right approach to figuring a problem out. I can usually tell if a person is bright and has the right attitude. That's more important than some paper certification.
That is exactly how the company I work for does their interviews. Your knowledge of some basic linux questions, and ability to demonstrate your problem solving abilities are way more important than your certifications. I got hired with no degree or certs because they could tell I'm good at logical/technical troubleshooting, and we often get hundreds of resumes a month. Unfortunately, a lot of companies don't work this way, and if you don't have relevant experience and certs, they don't want to look at you. It's a shame. A lot of people with paperwork just want "a job," and may not be cut out for the field.

Need FreeMCboot? I'll install it on your PS2 Memory Card for free if you cover postage both ways.
Consoles: I have too much stuff
Arcade: No seriously, I have too much stuff. Someone grab a shovel and dig me out of my basement.

Honestly, I'd rather get the Hanafuda Cards and a poster set.
