Is Japan trying to make a comeback in 2012?

Post by JC48573 »

That's the feeling I got when I watched Metal Gear Rising Revengeance (I know I know) and games like Asura's Wrath. It feels like they are trying to deliver a message that they will make some kind of comeback in 2012. I hope it's true.

It doesn't look like they went anywhere from my point of view. There were plenty of good games from Japan in 2011.

plenty of good games from Japan in 2011, but I didn't have the money like other people do. I wait patiently in 2012-2014.

Plenty of great Japanese games. I'd say about 90% of the games I buy are Japanese developed. The only shortage is home console JRPGs. Most JRPGs just go to handhelds now... I don't like that because I hardly ever use my PSP.

I say its going to be a good year for Japanese action games (MGR, Anarchy Reigns, Asura's Wrath, Dragon's Dogma, etc).
