I was pointing the last sentence more towards Muffin, the rest was general venting about how it seems like all the kids, except for a good few (Muffin being one, I believe), went downhill after 97. I'm not much older than that, but once you get down to kids just a couple of years younger than me, they are rude, disrespectful, and it seems obvious to me they don't get enough discipline.

Oh, and Beavis screwed his hand.

I'm 25, and love Beavis and Butthead so much:

* I damn near shit my pants when I heard it was coming back
* Can do an awesome impersonation of the two
* Can't wait for the movie

And when it came out, I was still in elementary, so watching it was one of those things my parents forbade.

And I'm a perfect blend of mature and immature.

And while I don't hate people my own age, I do hate/do not understand the music. I don't recognize 90% of the bands, and 90% of the music I buy is either old (from a few decades to a few years) stuff or stuff from bands hardly anyone's heard of. It's worse in a small town, cuz no one's heard of a lot of the bands I listen to. And everything has that indie/hipster-friendly sound and/or has the sound of a song you hear on the soundtrack to a chick flick (Adele's "Dark Days" (I believe that's the title) comes to mind). If it turns out I'm a hipster, I'm a self-hating one who thinks most of our music either sucks or tries to be something we wanna buy. Keep your Coldplay, I'll keep my steampunk bands, my horror punk, my rock musicals and my vintage '80s metal (Sanctuary, Grim Reaper, Fastplay, and the soundtrack to Black Roses come to mind).

My god, I hate people my age. Everything goes to crap like this. I know it's off topic, but I honestly think I'm the only 13 year old guy who hates Beavis & Butthead, I get all the jokes, it's just ridiculous and over the top. And you guys call me immature. I've never seen worse.
Don't feel bad; I dislike Beavis and Butthead, too. I tried to like it, but I could never stomach it for more than a few episodes.

Every generation says that about the generation that follows. It's how you know you're getting old.

What is happening to our young people? They disrespect their elders, they disobey their parents. They ignore the law. They riot in the streets inflamed with wild notions. Their morals are decaying. What is to become of them?

And then once you become an adult, childish immature stuff like Beavis and Butthead and Pokemon suddenly become funny and cool again.
C.S. Lewis has a great quote about that. I'm sure you know it.
what is it?

One of my favorite quotes is Shaw's "youth is wasted on the young." :|

Plato didn't really say that. The notion is old, but I've yet to find an actual source that attests to these. They all seem to have been made up and attributed to ancient sources. Would be nice to finally find a real one.

Without Beavis and Butthead, I would have never known how cold it is in the D.

B&B is polarizing, and that's what's so great about it. There's no middle ground on if you like it or not, and that just attracts attraction to the show and helps create die hard fans. I still find it hilarious. It's a very "Could it possibly get any dumber?" show, and unlike so many others, I think Judge gets it right.

Plus, picking up a show after around a decade without missing a single beat is incredible. Also remember that a lot of us went to high school with people just like the cast in B&B.

I can't argue that it's not crude, or, well silly, but I really enjoy it.

LMAO, it's true!

As for Beavis & Butt-Head...WHAT?! Beavis & Butt-Head rock! Freaking hilarious! And I'm nearly 30.
