Most of them. They have extremely good looking 2D graphics that easily keep up with modern 2D games. You could even argue that they look way better than most modern 2D games.

Star Ocean and Tales of Phantasia are both very impressive SNES games.

Sorry I made it sound so complicated. I should of just said most modern looking 4th gen game not including add ons. I just wanted to see if any game accomplished making a modern looking game with limited technology. I mean of course n64 and Jaguar look modern.

First, modern feeling; Then, modern looking? two completely different questions that are each subjective. I said FF III / VI for its scope and story telling. Another might say Ninja Gaiden for NES because of the cutscenes. The vectorman suggestion is obvious for the faux 3D graphics look- really cool! And incidentally, with the relative hipness of pixel art "bit" styles, I think many SNES games look more modern than N64 3D does at this point in time.

I'll 2nd the DKC games, but really, I disagree with many on the list. Super Metroid, Demon's Crest, even Star Fox all feel like 16 bit games, while DKC feels like an early 32 bit 2D platformer.

A lot of these games have appeal conparing them to the modern 2D games, at least at my eyes. But yeah there are better looking 2D games in this generation.

Also the thread rules are kind of confusing :|
I thougt that means what games have aged well...
