Just a warning, being from 1985, there are no hitboxes, bullet hells, reflect barriers, experience/power meters to build up, medallions/stars/point items, anime characters, heavy metal music, huge gigantic multi-part bosses and 3 part final bosses, 1 credit bonuses, spammy lasers and missles, and all that stuff I'm sure you're used to. Just a humble ship, power ups, shot-canceling bombs, other big point opportunities and a droning soundtrack that stays the same for much of the game -- see why I love it so much?
