Most modern feeling cartride game?
What cartridge game (Snes,Genesis, ect) feels extremely modern for it's time? I recently got street fighter alpha 2 for snes and it feels like it should be for a later console(very good port). Are there any other games that feel modern in terms of design and graphics? Games that feel they are made for later consoles?
Oops totally forgot about n64. Let's just say n64 doesn't count here. Same with Atari Jaguar. Let's just keep it to generation 4 consoles(not including add ons, graphic chips are okay).

Goldeneye 007 for N64 is an obvious choice. Many N64 games feel modern, and one reason why is because it is the most modern cartridge console.

Herzog Zwei was way ahead of its time.
As for SFA2 for SNES, I feel the opposite. It's so laggy and slow that they shouldn't even have bothered.

Hands down donkey series & killer instinct on the snes, I personally like snes dk graphics/games better than the one on the wii.

Chrono Trigger's graphics may be solidly SNES-era, but the gameplay (especially the battle mechanics) feel very modern.

Yeah there are definately some great looking games on the SNES. When you say add ons don't count, does that include 32x? The 32x was capable of producing graphics as good as Saturn and Playstation.

Was Starfox 2 ever released? I thought people had to custom make them. If so, where can I get one?GameMasterGuy wrote:For later consoles, or modern consoles?

Yeah, it was canned due to the N64's launch. You'll have to either pirate it or get a repro cart.
