australian ebay

why is it so expensive to buy nes/snes games from australian sellers on ebay?? is something to do with them being PAL? its ridiculous, there is PAL cartridges selling for more then CIB NTSC ones..

In Australia there is a lot less retro gaming stuff to go around and people can get away with charging a premium. If I am 'Buying It Now' I will generally get it from UK or Europe because postage is pretty cheap and the prices are good. If you are patient, you can find good prices at auction in Australia.

yeah it does seem to be a hell of alot more affordable to get games from the UK. I dont have any game stores that sell/trade retro stuff within 3 hours of me so ebay is pretty much my only source apart from the odd find at garage sales/opshops. Thanks for the help.

Agreed! SNES games prices seem to be "retail - inflation" for everything except sports games. Also our economy isn't in the crapper yet, so that might help/hurt depending on your point of view...
