any solutions for playing through text-heavy snes imports?

Post by ac_90 »

i've yet to invest in a lot of great super famicom rpgs & adventure games like metroid, zelda lttp, final fantasy, super mario rpg, or chrono trigger just because i wouldn't be able to play the games without being able to read any of the text. is there a website or something that has menu translations or in-game text translations that i can easily follow along with?

i've seen some resources like translation guides on gamefaqs, but they just start getting way too confusing to follow once you get things like branching pathways in rpgs or dialog choices and the like. buying american copies isn't as ideal a solution for me just because i enjoy visual consistency in my collection; plus rpgs that are upwards of 50 bucks have japanese copies for next to nothing.

any ideas?
