GC one definitely looks better. Check out the drinking animal's feet.

Both pics were shot with each console's Component cable attached and the game set to Progressive 480p mode. There is only one Component cable that delivers 480p on the Gamecube, the official Nintendo brand.
The blur you see in the blue creature in the Wii pic is just an unlucky camera shot. The transparency is the creatures moving onscreen. You can see a little of the same transparency in the left creature's "wings". Look at the landscape and the lines of anything that is not moving. The pink creatures face and feet look identical in both shots.
I canceled the zoomed in post. I realized posting a zoomed in cropped pic would be the same resolution, the camera used is only 3.2 megs.
Would you say based on being there in front of the TV yourself that the picture is more or less the same, or is it really blurrier like the F-Zero GX pictures?
I'm guessing that's what you mean by saying they are identical; just being paranoid about it that is all!

They are the same, it was not a paused screen so some onscreen movement got blurred.
I posted a while back in the Game Finds Thread on the $5.00 Gamecube official cable I bought at Gamestop. A lucky chance find with its own unique SKU.

Whew, that's a relief. Thanks for taking the time to set all that up for the benefit of everyone!
Scoured some Gamestops today in fact, though none of them had any GameCube-related cables. I'll definitely keep looking. Congrats on the find.

Anytime. Keep looking for the GC Component cable , you might get lucky.
because the Wii could still have an inferior video D/A chip than the GC despite having more GPU, CPU, and RAM? The same way a cheap SACD player might not play redbook audio any better than a top-shelf CD player?
