Can anyone who has both cables for GCN/Wii confirm this?
It appears the Wii has some horrible filter and the GameCube does not. Maybe it's a software issue? I'm definitely concerned about this as I thought the outputs were exactly the same.
So the issue is only with Gamecube games? I have both and never noticed any issues with the Wii. Then again, I play my GC games on the cube, not the Wii.
Anyone else find a $5.00 GC Component cable at Gamestop?
Well I feel better about buying an expensive Gamecube Component cable. Lucky to find a second one at five bucks. Even if there were no difference between the Wii and Gamecube 480p, worth getting the cable for the GBA Player.
Was the game tested actually set to 480p with the B button during bootup?
Is there any better proof on this other then a linked screenshot? Maybe the camera was out of focus? I know Wii games look crystal clear with Component, I don't see why Gamecube games would be worse unless its in the Wii emulation or maybe not even set to 480p? I'll have to test a Gamecube game on the Wii to compare. As others mentioned I also play the GC games on a Gamecube with Component.
