Fortune Street looks more like Board Game Top Shop for the PSX. Which is alot of fun with the right crowd.

On the boardgame front, Christmas is the time I usually get a big boardgame and this year it is Defenders of the Realm and a Dicetray. Ive been meaning to make a dice tray, but that Kaplow one is just at a good price. Everyone says it is one of the best on the market, but it is too big. Size doesnt matter that much in this context for me so it should work out great. I was also told I am being given Blockus - which is a fairly well known four player puzzle game.

Defenders of the Realm is like Pandemic meets Arkham Horror. So Pandemic gameplay with combat instead of instant heals and bosses that slowly advance to the center square. The designer of it, who lives a few miles from my office, supports it with free campaigns and is very active in the community trying to get ideas for expansions.

After Christmas I will probably not be online since I am going to my girlfriends family farm for the week and we will are planning to play alot of boardgames and old pc games. The goal is to beat Baldurs Gate Coop in a week, plus a dozen games of Defenders of the Realm and Twixt.

Dammit, I was getting a rush to play MULE from the Other Board. Would it be possible to turn that game into a board game? They turned Advanced Civilization into a computer game after all...

There are several board games that use the MULE formula. The one that is the closest would be Planet Steam.

I did Baldurs Gate Co-op in one night with my friend, took us about 10 hours but it was a great laugh. Highly underrated game.
