isn't Nintendo's policy the same with DS and 3DS? You're supporting those platforms.
I've never pay for DRM download content. I refuse to support it. As for the games on physical media, I buy those because I want to support them.

I recently imported the European PC version of Sonic Generations, rather than get it from Steam.

I support what I like and don't support what I don't like. I'm only one person but I do what I can to help improve things. Consumer rights are very important to me.

This is called being selfish and making excuses. Your mouth says one thing, but your wallet says the opposite. >_>

Well, there is some useful info here for sure.

I'm not too sure how I feel about just using the homebrew channel. I feel bad about it, but I honestly don't want to keep spending money on games that I no longer feel are mine.

I just bought the Wii on Sunday, and I've had to return it twice. This 3rd Wii seems to be working fairly well, but I don't want to start loading content onto it, because if it breaks, I'm screwed. My warranty is through Gamestop, so it would make no sense for me to send the broken console to Nintendo and pay their service fee, considering I've already purchased a warranty.

I may just ask someone here for help setting that up. As against pircay as I am, one of the main reasons I bought the Wii was for access to its VC content, and I was fully willing to spend money on all of them until I discovered that they barely belong to me.

Thank you guys for the helpful responses. I am still quite happy with this console, probably more than I have ever enjoyed my 360 (not counting shmups, because thats not fair)

If I complained about DRM download content, and was actually purchasing it, then you could say that and be right. I never said that Nintendo's physical games are bad, or Nintendo in general is bad. Their stupid DRM download content is completely optional and separate from their physical games and playing the games online. They don't force any of it on you. The physical games don't even have DLC (for now). They come 100% complete on day one.

Is there a company out there that you don't like 100% of everything they do, yet you give them money? If so, you would be the hypocrite, noise.

Wow, you can emulate Lynx and MSX games on this? Thats pretty cool.

I wonder if there is a way to get some MAME shmups working, like Armed Police Batrider. I highly doubt it, but it would be awesome to try some of those shmups that never got ported.

I'm not a hypocrite. I don't boycott things like you do. And I don't feel robbed by DLC.

I was just pointing out that as you've said MANY times, thta YOU support with YOUR wallet. If YOU think what Nintendo is doing is wrong, YOU should be boycotting Nintendo, since YOU feel strongly about voting with $.
Do the right thing, Noise. Inazuma. You know that supporting Sony Nintendo harms your rights and video games themselves.

Jaguar works too, but I am not sure to what extent now. I did try some games in the past.

Some MAME games work, but... support really isn't that good. X-Box is still the top console for that.
