Re: Commodore 64 questions
i had one like this that i used with my 2600, so im guessin it would work fine with a C64. From what i can remember it was much better than the standard sticks.BoneSnapDeez wrote:I have a QuickShot joystick with two buttons. Any know much about these? Mine looks like this:

Verify that both buttons work in a 2600 game. Some dual button joysticks such as the Wico have a select slide switch. If both buttons do not work, a chance its a Genesis stick which could fry your C64.
Anyone have confirmed info on the Master System controllers? Do the insides have a Chip controlled PCB and if the second button might damage a C64?

That joystick came with my C64, which the previous owner had for many years, so I hope it's safe. Also, the photo I posted was not my own, but from some C64 blog so it seems like other folks have used it with some success.CRTGAMER wrote:Make sure its not for the GenesiseSPy wrote:I had one like this that i used with my 2600, so im guessin it would work fine with a C64. Update: I found a pretty grainy screenshot of the joystick box that says "compatible with Atari 2600, Sears, and VIC-20."

Yeah, that's a C64/2600 stick. It is the same as the one I just cleaned up and put in the charity auction. The buttons are the same, just duplicated for your preference.BoneSnapDeez wrote:I have a QuickShot joystick with two buttons. Any know much about these? Mine looks like this:
