Hahaha, funny stuff. I watched his Skyrim announcement video, and it pretty much described how I felt.

hahaha! I played Oblivion so I know some mechanics of what an Elder Scrolls game feels like, but how was Skyrim? is the leveling ( if it's still there ) much better? There's huge monsters in the game now right?

Monsters aren't that different. But leveling, they completely fixed. There is no classes. If you raise ANY skill, you get a little closer to a level up. Each level allows for a raise of Magicka, Stamina, or Health, along with a single perk point to put into the many point trees. Probably not the best way to describe it, but really kicks Oblivion's ass when it comes to leveling.

They simplified a lot of the skills system trees and added dual wielding a la Bioshock 2. The cool things I keep finding in Skyrim remind me of Bioshock, like being able to light certain areas on the floor where oil is puddled on fire or roving boss battles like the dragons. They also added critical hit finishers so when you attack an enemy with a critical hit that would kill them, you get a quick finishing view of you decapitating or impaling them. Plus I notices that the more quests you finish, the more passing comments by NPCs change. Like that fact that they will criticize or compliment you armor or weapon. Overall this game is a big improvement over Oblivion and I have problems putting it down. My wife usually bugs me to stop but its mainly so she can sign in and play her character. Also the perks that were mentioned can be chosen at ANY time once you have earned them so if you need 3 more skill points to unlock a perk, you can hold off on choosing until you gain the necessary EXP. Definitely worth it if you pick it up.

How's being a wizard in this game? any cool lasers to shoot? =) I think I'm going to end up picking this game up. Probably take a roll of a royal wizard ( think of a knight and shining armor only in cloth armor with and fancy finger lasers but still has the fancy clothes because I'm not much of a robe person o____o )

It's an rpg right? I'm going to roleplay my little heart out xD!!
