Yup that's it! And rancor is totally trustworthy even though his website looks a little janky.ZenErik wrote:You can find a better price on Ikaruga if you look for the right deal, but rancor (http://www.sk8tokyo.com/shmup/) has it for $60 + shipping from Japan.
What shmup are you playing now?

Good selection and $8 shipping! Very nice considering Ebay's prices -- thanks for the tipZenErik wrote:You can find a better price on Ikaruga if you look for the right deal, but rancor (http://www.sk8tokyo.com/shmup/) has it for $60 + shipping from Japan.

What the fùùùùùùck !?
Intense stuff...
I'm playing it on Dreamcast though.
Is there any slowdown in the NAOMI version when there is a lot of action on the screen?...

Rancor is legit, the amount of swag I've bought from him is unreal. I know Erik can say the same.ExedExes wrote:Good selection and $8 shipping! Re: What shmup are you playing now?
been sticking to oldschool shooters lately... right now i've been playing a LOT of R-Type for the Turbografx... so far I can get through level 3 with one life.. but after that i'm toast.. needs lots of practice still to memorize.. but I love it!

Yes there is slow down on the Naomi version, it really surprised me too. I expected no slow down at all.elmagicochrisg wrote:Same here, 4th stage with 260,000,000,000,000 points, more or less...bryan_65 wrote:Still been playing Giga Wing 2 on my Naomi I can get to the 4th stage on one credit so far. That's not right...bryan_65 wrote:Yes there is slow down on the Naomi version, it really surprised me too. I expected no slow down at all.
Should try to fix my overclocked Dreamcast and see what it gives.
Won't be anytime soo though. Don't even know where it is... lol
Anyways, still playing, and still dying in level 4. Already managed to reach level 4 without losing one life though...
Also managed to up my best score to + 800.000.000.000.000 points...
Now I don't play shooters regularly, and this is my first attempt at a 1cc. Those who play shooters regularly, would you consider this an easy game to 1cc or did I make it difficult for myself?... Just wondering...
Oh yeah, I'm playing on default settings with Kart and I use Reflect Barrier...
PS I found out when I talk to my friends about this game that I refer to it as a shooter, without thinking about it. I didn't even know for sure myself how I called the genre untill recently. So yeah, shooter it is. It sounds more oldschool than shmup anyway...

R-Type II just keeps handing my ass to me. I can get near the end of Stage II on one life but then it totally wipes the floor with me.
I love it but there are two things that really annoy me, the fact that when you die you get set back, as well as the fact that you get speed powerups. It totally screws with me when the speed of my ship changes.
