Hey guys!
I've been trying and failing to think of a video game gift for someone, and was hoping you could help! Maybe? If not, flame away! Maybe? <3
Anyway, I'm looking for something cute, specifically something that can be described as "kawaii" (à la Yotsuba, Hello Kitty, or Dragon Quest: Rocket Slime)--I didn't put that in the title because, well, you know. Flaming.
It should be fairly easy (not-err--for kids, easy. But not like Monster Hunter--or at least something with a scalable difficulty), not slow, but not fast, and have an RPG-level story (à la Layton, for a non-RPG example), and therein would "need" to be in English.
Systems include the PS2, Wii (and GC), Xbox 360, and NDS. 3DS as well, but, you know.
Sorry for being so demanding here! Just looking for a bit of help, and it would be much appreciated!
Yours lovingly,
Monkat

I also rent and sell PS2, Wii and XBOX softmod-kits and I collect DVD movies let me know what you have.
Re: Cute Games
You lost me at RPG story. Most of the cute games I would recommend do not have deep stories. But i do specialize in cute Japanese games.

Well, I'd love to hear suggestions anyway, if you have 'em!
If it's cute enough, the story can be sacrificed. Atmosphere and story are both very heavy contributors to enjoyment, so as long as the overall "score" is good, everything works!

Re: Cute Games
Trying very hard not to spoil anything, but I wouldn't buy that game if you're looking for a 'cute' gaming experience. It's not all sunshine and happiness, even if most of it is. I'm talking about LKS here btw, although from what I understand some bits of Cave Story are pretty dark too.noiseredux wrote:I'd second Cave Story 3DS.
and what's that Wii game... Little King's Story?

PS2: Twinkle Star sprites
Wii: Kirby's Epic yarn, Puyo puyo 7 (or any other version that made it to the Wii), Taiko no Tatsujin (4 games released), Octomania, Milestone Shooting Collection 2 (Radirgy, Radirgy Noa, Illvelo)
Problem is that a lot of the cutest games dont make it here. You would need a soft or hard modded system or Japanese console for some of those.
Re: Cute Games

Dewy's Adventure for the Wii. It's cheap, cute and supposedly a genuinely good game.
