USB Loader GX Resets Wii After Selecting Game

I am having a bit of trouble trying to load games from my external hard drive connected to my Wii. Whenever I select a game to load it, the Wii resets and goes back to the main menu. This happens for all games, so it isn't an individual issue. I am able to install games with no issues whatsoever. What could be the issue? I don't know for certain what my cIOS version is, but I think it might be 249. I am using the latest version of USB Loader GX, on an NTSC-U Wii with firmware 4.3U.

Get ModMii from gbatemp.net and install all of the IOS/CIOS it recommends.

Best guide I know of. I've soft modded quite a few Wii consoles with that guide and also use USB Loader GX. No issues.

you should make sure the usb cable is connected on the correct port on the wii. Mine would always reset if its not in the correct port.

If that isnt it the issue then i say its your ios.
