Post Your Customized Characters!

Post by Lodestar »

Didn't see a thread for this, so I figured it would be interesting to have a place for everyone to post their user-created avatars from any game that allows in-depth customization (Fallout, Mass Effect, Skyrim, etc.).

So, post your images and perhaps a description of why you chose that particular look. For example; do you always go for the same appearance in all games, or does the game set the theme of the character's traits? Do you make the avatar look like yourself? Preferences on the gender of the character?

I'll start with a couple of mine:

Mass Effect 2:

I always make male characters in games, for Mass Effect, I went for a mixed race character because I figured in the far, spare-faring future, most of the human race would be homogenized to the point of not looking like a single race. I usually try my VERY hardest to make my characters "attractive," as I couldn't find myself playing an ugly character, honestly. Some of the Shepards I see are horrendous looking.

Fallout 3:

I didn't have a particular theme for this character, I just wanted to make a regular-looking guy without any stand-out traits. I was happy with the end result, I usually outfit my characters with facial hair, if I can. Can't stand baby faces.

cool thread. Hm. I was always proud of making unique looking characters in WoW. I got a lot of compliments (if you can call them that  ) about just HOW ugly my undead Shadow Priest was

But with most modern games I don't really bother changing chins, cheek size and stuff like that. It usually ends up kind of boring, and I don't see the big differences right away so I'm too bored to play with the character creation tools.

Ah, I'm the complete opposite, I can spend a long time in the character creation screens. I figure that if I'm going to be looking at the character for so long, they better be to my liking.

I'm weird like that, sometimes I'll notice during cutscenes that I did something wrong and will start a new game to rectify it.

On another note, I imported my ME1 character into ME2, so there was a definite need to make things right the first time around - I'll be using that same character when ME3 comes out in March.

I find myself spending 40+ minutes creating a character (damn you Bethesda) and then end up feeling slightly embarrassed with the final product. This is probably due to the fact that my character has a likeness to my physical appearance. I usually can't wait to get either a beret, helmet, or hood over my face.

haha. Agreed, but the problem is that I don't really know hot to create what I "want". I prefer a random creation button, till it comes up with a face to my liking, which I can then twick. Of course, when it comes to color, extra features (scars, eyes, ect) and hair I too can spend hours looking for the right choice.

Me sniffing for some amulets, rubies, and other assorted goods. Her expression is hilarious.

My Skyrim character- an middle-aged, one-eyed grizzled Nord war veteran.

One of my two Hawkes- this one didn't get as far story-wise as the other.

My other Hawke- beat the game the first time with her.

My grey warden- was trying to go for him looking a bit off.

Can't find a good image of my Shepard and don't wanna reinstall ME2 to take a single screenshot. He's basically Allistair from DA:O without the facial hair.
