Best Donkey Kong Country title?

I don't think anyone has mentioned it, but you can roll without using the waggle as I recall. It's a different control option. Not that I'm jumping to the game's defense as I really didn't love DKCR.

How? I just bought the game (still needs to ship) and I haven't heard or seen anything about waggle-free rolling unless you have a modded Wii. I would love to know.

Seriously? Fuck, that alone should be able to stand in court to defend someone of Wii piracy. Have the judge first play the game with waggle and then with a normal controler and he'll absolve you of all charges.

I haven't seen any. Let alone six people. They're either fucking with us, or, that's the only game in the series they played. The voted before reading. Then when they went to post, they saw us all talking about the SNES games, so they ran away.

That would explain a lot, and let's be honest, it's better than them voting which one they have heard is best, which most young people tend to do, and it has made certain games achieve a level of godhood usually reserved for the Mona Lisa and the Parthenon.

The first one for sure. I liked the 2nd one, too, but I missed DK himself. He was my favorite to play as in the original.

The only game in the Country/Land series I've beaten is the original Donkey Kong Land. It was actually the first game I ever personally owned. One of my earliest games.

I watched a friend play through most of the SNES trilogy. Only dabbled in them myself. First couple worlds. They do have AWESOME music, but in honesty they just haven't ever really gripped me. Not a fan of 2D platformers of that era. Can't stand the 2D Sonics and Marios. Probably going to pick up at least the first two Country games on virtual console and play them soon. I'm going to be playing with my roommate and friend who have mad nostalgia, so I'm thinking this time might be better.

And I think the classic controller cheat works with legit game discs. You just use Ocarina, which I think is the equivalent of a GameShark. I'm still hoping to find one that works with Riivolution, so I don't have to mod the Wii. I'll have to see how much it bothers me.

I recommend just picking up the whole trilogy. 3 is an excellent game also in my opinion.
