The games are programmed in C++and although they are very similar to NES games, they aren't. I've been following the dev side of things, and 9 and 10 use the same sprite color limitations as the real 2A03, employ the same physics and mechanics, the same pallet colors and very similar sound engine. There are a few high quality remix albums of the 9 and 10 soundtracks ported completely over to NSFs that play on the NES via the powerpak, and even a Megaman 9 demo NES rom that shows the first part of Concreteman's stage ported over to the NES.

I'd loveeeeeeeee to see Megaman 9 and 10 land on the real NES someday. I'd instantly buy the reproductions. But.....sadly it would probably never happen due to copyright reasons.

The point of it is though, that it is possible.

I thought I read that some of the mechanics are simple not possible for the NES to do. The momentum based swinging platforms in Jewel Mans stage come to mind. Correct me if Im wrong, but I've never seen momentum play a part in an NES game.

Probably is. Mine is still sealed because it's too awesome to unwrap. They even put a series of price stickers on the shrinkwrap.
Pics. Now.

Also, how come you have them? =D
When I get home from vacation. I snagged one when they put them up on the Capcom website. They sold out in 5 minutes.

Gimmick! features momentum, as well as a lot of other features in its full fledged physics engine.
