The reasons you never beat your games
Re: The reasons you never beat your games
i have this habit of getting new games and being all "yay! new game!" so I play it for a bit then end up getting something else and neglecting the previous one, it's a vicious cycle.

You are not kidding, how long did I just spend on N64 Zelda research and still on this Forum.AppleQueso wrote:distracted by the internet
Well I am babysitting a Turkey baking in the oven, a game would lead to an unbasted burned bird.

Reminds me of when Half Life 2: Episode 1 came out, and everyone was griping that you could start a turkey in the oven, then play the game to completion in time for dinner.CRTGAMER wrote:You are not kidding, how long did I just spend on N64 Zelda research and still on this Forum.AppleQueso wrote:distracted by the internet![]()

Re: The reasons you never beat your games
I'm actually much better about finishing games I start now, but only if I really want to finish the game. Things that will make me toss a game aside are:
1. That annoying sense that you're jumping through the same damn hoops over and over again(Folklore comes to mind)
2. Overly ridiculous and convoluted story(again, Folkore)
3. Too much cheap and contrived bullshit in the gameplay. I like challenging games, but I like good challenge
4. A game that is too big. Some games today just have waaaay too much shit to do. As a completist, I won't even take on something that has far too much stuff for me to do. I like to see sunshine every now and then. That's why I won't play games like Disgaea anymore or even give something like Skyrim a shot. I just don't have that commitment level anymore when I have other hobbies to attend to, plus the normal, annoying responsibilities of adult life

I accidentally launched a Wiimote through my television screen. No games 'til I decide on what replacement I'd like.

Re: The reasons you never beat your games
Some games I just can't beat as they're too difficult for me (Ninja Gaiden on Xbox).
Games that are too long or contain too much padding drive me nuts too.

This question allways come's to my mind... when do you considered you "beat" the game, when you kill the last boss or when you got 100% of the game.
For me beat the game is defeat the final boss and complete the game is get the 100% with all items and stuff.

This one is my excuse, plus the fact my consoles are at home leaving only handhelds.Original_Name wrote:Definitely school and social obligations. never understood how people actually do that, and I don't even have wrist straps....Balasubbie wrote:I accidentally launched a Wiimote through my television screen. No games 'til I decide on what replacement I'd like.
