I'm the opposite. I find that now that I'm focusing more on less consoles I'm actually playing way more games.Hatta wrote:I found that it was a phase for me. Now that I have most systems worth mentioning, and a fairly representative sampling of the libraries from each I don't need to buy much anymore.

hell to the yes. i do more collecting than actual playing. another thing i seem to do is not play or collect as much for current gen systems(even though i have one) until they are replaced with next gen consoles. and it has nothing to do with the drop in price of the games.BoneSnapDeez wrote:Anyone else feel like they spend more time buying, researching, and reading about games than actually playing them? *sigh*

I feel like I'm always scrambling to get past-gen games, otherwise they're going to become GONE FOR GOOD!stickem wrote:hell to the yes. i do more collecting than actual playing. another thing i seem to do is not play or collect as much for current gen systems(even though i have one) until they are replaced with next gen consoles. and it has nothing to do with the drop in price of the games.BoneSnapDeez wrote:Anyone else feel like they spend more time buying, researching, and reading about games than actually playing them? *sigh*

I also feel the same way. I wanted to collect evry n64 title out there and now after playing it on my day off I feel like I won't be playing all this stuff at all. I almost want to get rid of it now since I own the wii and play the sequels to most of the games I loved on the 64 during the 90's era.BoneSnapDeez wrote:I feel like I'm always scrambling to get past-gen games, otherwise they're going to become GONE FOR GOOD!stickem wrote:hell to the yes. i do more collecting than actual playing. another thing i seem to do is not play or collect as much for current gen systems(even though i have one) until they are replaced with next gen consoles. and it has nothing to do with the drop in price of the games.BoneSnapDeez wrote:Anyone else feel like they spend more time buying, researching, and reading about games than actually playing them? *sigh*

The wife has her own games, so pretty much when we're both home and not eating, she'll be on the PC and I'll be on consoles, or if she wants to watch TV I can play some PC games. I probably put about 10-15 hours a week in to gaming. Living the life

Boner, you seem to rub me the right way since you always know what I'm feeling.BoneSnapDeez wrote:Anyone else feel like they spend more time buying, researching, and reading about games than actually playing them? *sigh*
But yes, I definitely spend way too much time researching, reading, deal hunting, and buying games than actually playing them.
