It sounds like you guys are trying to recreate the original Red Steel promo video. Y'know the movements don't require you to stand up and swing your mote like Mitsurugi, right?

Ugh, Redsteel sucked. Now Redsteel 2 on the other hand had that 1:1 sword gameplay and was very fun because of that.

Thanks to friends in the industry I have played lots of the game in random sections over the year, but not allowed to talk about it. On my playthrough i just got through the first temple - I dislike skulltulas now. I was delayed in getting my copy because the stores I was told were holding copies of the special edition for me, were not. So I ended up getting a copy a standard copy at Best Buy and used the giftcard on Halo Anniversary (which is for this Thursday).

I had mixed feelings on Skyward Sword before. The demo was the first time I got to play it with the Stamina system and the current sound effects, and my opinion of it was low. But after playing through the first dungeon I realized that the final package is awesome. There is no real way to play the game with a Classic Controller. Really, this is the best motion control title I have ever played. The only place I will say it is going to be frustrating is when walking on tightropes - which is a pain. I mean I guess you could play it with a Classic Controller on Dolphin. Actually I dont know it would be really tricky.

The worst part about Skyward Sword is that it makes me dislike Twilight Princess even more - They should have waited on this to be the first Zelda on the console. And my girlfriend already told me that we need one of the wooden shields.

I'm not knocking the controls, I'm sure they're great. I just much prefer to have my hands grip a traditional controller that's resting in my lap. As awesome as the controls may be, you're still having to move your hand around, no? I just don't prefer to do that when I play video games, plain and simple. Nothing is gonna change that fact. So it doesn't matter how well the motion controls work, I still wont like it. Know what I mean?

From the videos I've watched, the game looks amazing. That's why I said before, it hurts me that there's no support for the Classic Controller. I mean, I'll probably pick it up some day when it's cheap enough. But I can guarantee you now that I will not be enjoying the motion controls.

They really should have made an option for this. I refused to try Twilight Princess on the Wii's motion controls, I was happy getting the Gamecube version at release. I will have to save up for this hopefully I can get the L.E. latter without paying to high of a price. I tend to get busy and forget to pre-order stuff I know I should.

A friend of mine, who picked it up at midnight, just called me to gloat that he finished the game. He played it from about 0010 to 2245, so about 21 and a half hours. The reason for this manic rush, he is shipping off tomorrow night for six months.

Same here. In fact, I don't even like DDR. I don't mind games like WiiFit or WiiSports with motion controls, but for platformers and action adventure games, I much more preferred an actual controller.

Wow, he really zoomed through then. I'm like 25 hours in now and I have loads to go. I'm really taking my time personally though, exploring a lot, going back to the sky to buy items, treasure hunting etc.
