gamecube+games or skyward sword? need help

Post by mas »

Ever since I saw the nintendo power magazine of the top 25 gamecube games I really want to pick up a system and get games for it. Since I only have about 80.00 in trade money for gamestop I want to pick up gamecube titles and spend 60.00 at the store and get the system for 20.00 but I also want zelda skyward sword with the controller but I can only get 80.00 to spend for myself. I don't know how rare the zelda game is going to be remember "super mario all star's limited edition" lol But gamestop I feel is getting rid of the gamcube games soon and the games are dirt cheap. Here is what I would pick up and my store has all the titles I want.:
zelda wind waker 20.00
mario sunshine 15.00
rogue squadren2 3.00
luigi's mansion 15.00
f-zero 5.00
or Just get zelda and pick up gamecube games at ebay. It's a tough choice so I am aking for help on this one. If anyone can give me their opinion on what I should get either the cube or zelda help me out. Give me some ideas on gamecube games I should get instead of what I picked out if I go with that route. Let me know thanks.

Wait do you have a wii? If so you have a gamecube already. Anyway I would go with the cube in your situation since you will get more games for your money. I picked up skyward sword today and it's awesome, but you will get a lot of enjoyment out of quality gc titles too. If you still need a cube on me I have one ill do for 20 shipped.

I'd skip Mario Sunshine, Luigi's Mansion, and Rogue Squadron 2. Life's too short to play so-so games.

That needs an "IMO" at the end of the sentence.

Those are some of the greatest titles.

...imo. :)

Yeah, what he said. A nice fat "IMO" after that crazy sentence...IMO.

@OP - Skyward Sword will steadily come down in price in a few months...whereas the others are pretty set where they are, some may inch up, some down - but pretty close to where they probably will be for the foreseeable future.

I'd go the GCN route all day.

I said "I'd." Obviously this was an opinion.

^Yeah, I know. I caught that after I posted, but before I could edit mjmjr posted so I just thought "whatever".

Ah. Cool. I'd replace those games with Animal Crossing, Metroid Prime, and SSBM (if you've got people to play it with). Double Dash and Killer 7 are good choices as well. Eternal Darkness comes highly regarded, but I honestly cannot remember whether I liked it. The Money Ball series is good if you can get them really cheap, but I think the oXbox might have a superior version.

If you are a Zelda fan, buy Skyward Sword. If not, then buy the Gamecube games. Either way, you can't go wrong :)
