I noticed my tv has static noise if I raise the volume on it, and it "disappears" if the volume is low. I am not sure how this happens and I am wondering if some one could tell me. Can it be the wires I am using? I am also using a video selector that I think might be the problem.
Please recommend to me a good video selector, keep in mind that I need something that works with 240V electricity. If it doesnt exist in USA i am willing to buy from the UK market.

Maybe a loose connection or interference getting into the mix somewhere. Try reconnecting things, moving wires away from other wires and components. Maybe see if something you have hooked up is creating interference and disconnecting items one at a time to see if it goes away.
For a switch, it doesn't matter if it is only switching the signals between devices unless you mean a powered switch with a remote and thus needs to plug into the wall.

well i want a switch box that will realise wich device is on and switch to it with out me doing it manually.
the device i have cureently does the same thing but it still needs to be plugged to electricity

If the selector does not have good insulation you could have static, regardless of whether or not it's powered. I'm not saying the switchbox is the problem, but it could be...
Disconnect everything. Then reconnect one piece at a time (straight connection without the switchbox) and see if the problem still occurs and with what device(s). If none of them give you any problem, try the same thing but now with the switchbox in between the tv and device. Also try different inputs on the switchbox...
Don't just buy a new switchbox without checking if that's really the problem...

i am only using composite wires not even component. no scart no s-video no vga
