Is this normal? (Sega Saturn Robb Webb Modchip Question)
Is it normal that after installing a Modchip in a Sega Saturn, the CD doesn't speed up a few seconds after booting the Saturn up like it did without a Modchip? The burned and original games work, but I was just a little concerned.

sounds normal to me, it could be that its just having a little issue with cdrs.
From what i can recall from mine it does take a little until my modded model2 saturn 64 pin actually picked up some speed.

OK, I seriously don't know what it is with me and Saturn Modchips, but this thing STILL does not function right. The CDs don't spin as fast as they're supposed to, the games lag, they're audio lags, and so on. Anyone know if it's just a faulty chip, or did I do something wrong, what?

Sounds to me like you're burning the CD-Rs at too high a speed. You need to burn them at the lowest possible speed, preferably 1x but 4x should be ok.
