Picked up Otomedius Excellent: Special Edition today! Can't wait to fire this baby up; especially after finding out that Koji Igarashi is not only the producer of the game, but he managed to sneak in a Belmont character as an additional player..! :D

Been playing through the shumps on Taito Legends 2. Some fun ones on there like Grid Seeker, Layer Section II and Metal Black, but my only issue is that they are almost unplayable with the PS2 controller. I'll have to get me a Saturn to PS2 controller or a arcade stick.

I've been playing Gun Frontier on the Saturn.

I think this game is much better than it gets credit for.

Its worth checking out on Taito Legends 2, but the Saturn version looks much nicer with tate mode.

Finally getting down how to milk the first boss in Muchi Muchi Pork. I'm still playing it on 1.01, but after reading that 1.00 is an extreamly accurate port, I think I'll try switching it up.

Pink Sweets can stay on 1.01 though, since its still challenging, and the missing "infinite lives bug " makes 1.00 incomparable to the pcb. From what I've read in EOJ's review of the port on Cave-stg.com, Harder and Extended modes on 1.0 are actually not possible to 1cc due to the missing bug.

While I'm waiting for my Dodonpachi Resurrection Deluxe Edition (PAL) to arrive from Zavvi... I fired up my old PS2 to play some Ibara Storm (NTSCJ) last night... Played some Otomedius Excellent (NTSCU) multiplayer last week. I grabbed the regular edition of OE as it's not a very good game... but I'll probably pickup the Limited Edition once it hits bargain bin pricing (any day now...) o_O

I seem to always forget how much quality shmuppage is on Taito 2.

Been playin' through Guardian Force and Layer Section today. Both great games. After playing through Guardian force It made me wish every shooter had a turret that you can maneuver around enemies.

R-Type DX!

(I only own about five shmups, I generally suck at 'em)
