Accuracy in Emulation list
This thread, and the article linked therein inspired me to do a bunch of research on accuracy in emulation. I spent way too much time reading the message boards at Byuu's website, and I need to share it a bit. Most of it is way over my head, but it's interesting to read about the hacks necessary to make certain games work on your favorite emulators. I really like Byuu's quest to accurately emulate and preserve the SNES, and it seems like he's done a fine job.
While ZSNES, SNES9x, and even Nesticle in its time have their place and are very useful, I'm interested in compiling a list of all the most accurate emulators in development. They might not be the most usable, but the developers' core philosophy is similar to that of Byuu.
The preliminary list:
SNES - bsnes (99.99% complete, very usable)
NES - Nintendulator (very playable), NEStopia
Genesis - Exodus (Developer explains on this thread)
Sega CD, 32X, and Genesis - Kega Fusion (developed by Steve Snake who is apparently a former Sega developer)
MSX family emulator - BlueMSX http://www.bluemsx.com/
Gameboy Color - Gambatte http://sourceforge.net/projects/gambatte/
What do you guys think? What should be added?

Re: Accuracy in Emulation list
For my Sega emulation, I only use Kega Fusion. I left Gens behind a long time ago. I find Kega Fusion highly accurate.

Re: Accuracy in Emulation list
I don't know how it compares in terms of accuracy to Kega Fusion, but there's a fork of Gens called Gens/GS that I found impressive.

RetroCopy claims to be a very accurate Genesis emulator. The VDP emulation is cycle accurate, but 68000 is not, but it's close. This one's cross platform too.
I can't actually comment on it, because I haven't used it. I have a flash cart, so I don't bother emulating the Genesis.

Re: Accuracy in Emulation list
Nestopia also uses cycle-accurate emulation.
I don't know if DEMUL also tries to be cycle accurate, but Deunan seems to be cut out of the same fabric as Byuu, the same goes with PCSX2's Air (Jake Stine). Their blog entries about their emulation work are always interesting (particularly Air's as he tries to explain programming concepts in layman's terms)

BlueMSX seems cycle accurate for MSX family emulator
http://www.bluemsx.com/
Nestopia is a cycle accurate AND portable NES emulator
