Re: Personal Collection Goals
My goal is to go mostly arcade when I eventually have the space somewhere. I want to get a couple sega candy cabs and use one for TATE with a swappable screen. I do still have interest in console gaming, but the experience is much more pure. My AES kicked in a new addiction.

If you have any questions about any 360 shmups or anything, let me know! I always love chatting about shmups.k.vlaros wrote:OK, I have a concrete goal now... to own every retail [disc-based] shoot-em-up on the Japanese 360. Oh yeah. And to own a Japanese 360. I'll buy a Slim soon but am hoping for a sale on amazon.co.jp for the holidays. Though I have no clue what impact the season has on Japanese retailers.
Current status towards goal: 9 / approx 22.
If I get really in to it I'll probably think up a new nickname (and find an avatar) and maybe reregister here and at shmups.system11 and the Cave forums with it. Eh.
COOL!

Re: Personal Collection Goals
My long term goal is to own every RPG and horror game for every home console, from NES era up to PS2 era. I might have to amend this at some point both because I insist on my cart games having the box and I hate spending a ton of money on games I don't like (so Earthbound is gonna be a tough one to justify). I'm kinda ok with the idea that my collection isn't ever going to officially be "finished" since I don't really have much time to game at home anyway.
I'm also kind of obsessed with getting every console version of every Might & Magic and Wizardry game. I'm close w/ M&M, even owning several of the Japanese-only releases, but the Turbo Duo game is going to be tough. Wizardry... I might have to give up on considering all of the Japanese games in that series.

I have a ton of games listed at my store's site: Super Smash Video Games

This my long term goal when I build a garage. I have started it with a MVS cab (with a few games) and a Naomi setup so far, but I really need a vertical cab too. On the console end I plan to complete the Dreamcast shmup collection first then I will be going for the Saturn and Genesis. For the current generation my goal is to finally get a X Box 360 Slim for the new fighters and shmups.Bradtemple87 wrote:My goal is to go mostly arcade when I eventually have the space somewhere. Well I am in Atlanta right now, but will be in TN soon. It just means I need to find a place to do a meetup up there. Since all my places in Atlanta have fallen through.Opa Opa wrote:Woah. Re: Personal Collection Goals
The place we are looking at ironically use to be a tobacco farm. Nono, I am buying a farm because my girl has horses. I have had a crazy idea of down the road building a geek "commune," for lack of a better word. Really it would be a small town on my land where people we know could come and live for a cut of utilities and helping with some of the work. The computer labs and fiber connection, well that would just be the kicker. But that is a pipe dream, not a collection goal.Opa Opa wrote:So you're not buying a farm to grow 50 acres of tobacco?
