Yes, I did that but I wasn't sure if all the different colors had different model numbers because I got a mixture of all colors. Is the screen built to be able to have the space to slide under it..I've never taken one apart but kinda want to now lol.
Well, as someone whose screen plate is no longer attached to my GB, I can tell you that they never intended for it to have swapable (is that a word?) images. The grey border is part of the plate, not just underneath it.

I agree with the peanut gallery- it was probably just a generic replacement screen; I wasn't the only one in my circle of friends to have my screen plate fall off.
