To be honest I have not played Boogerman in years, heck... maybe even since I was in grade school. Hot damn I should replay that one.
And on that note, I honestly don't know if I've ever legitimately beaten EWJ2 ever. I always seem to get stuck on that newspapers level, if that one rings a bell for anyone. That and I remember like... forks and spaghetti I think? WTF. I do think I maybe ONCE got to the final level, don't you race that black bird space suit guy or something?
I've played EWJ1 way more though, that game is still hard as heck but I can actually finish it. I should definitely revisit EWJ2 and Boogerman soon.
I remember Jim was amazing to use in Clayfighter 63 1/3rd, or whatever edition he was in.
Who do you like more, Boogerman or Earthworm Jim?

Double post...
Since there's various changes between EWJ on the Genesis and SNES, any differences or anything between the Boogerman releases?

The newspapers level is called ISO 9000. I remember being stuck there twice. The first time involved a platform I couldn't reach without pushing a filing cabinet close to it and getting one of its drawers to pop out -- something I discovered totally by accident and hadn't known was possible. To this day I still don't know what makes the drawer come out; I just flail around for a while until it happens. The second time was with the boss, which is puzzling until you discover the trick.Xeogred wrote:I always seem to get stuck on that newspapers level, if that one rings a bell for anyone. I realized today that the sound effect of the jumping filing cabinets in ISO 9000 inspires as much fear in me as that of the phantom icecream trucks in ToeJam and Earl. Oh, childhood.
The food level is called Level Ate.
I played Boogerman at a friend's house and really liked it, but he wouldn't let me borrow it and I never bought it myself. My exposure to it ended there.

Yeaaaaaaaah, pushing file cabinets doesn't ring a bell at all. I'll have to try that out next time.

Earthworm Jim, but Boogerman is definitely due some props.

I didn't like Boogerman very much at all. As a character he is pretty lame, and the game was very mediocre.
Earthworm Jim on the other hand is one of the most creative things I've ever seen and everything about it is funny, weird and awesome. The games are 10x better than Boogerman too.
Besides, Major Mucus is even cooler than Boogerman and hes not even the star of Earthworm Jim. I'm surprised anyone even voted for Boogerman at all, but this is the internet after all. Lots of weirdos on here.

Everytime I read the title of this thread, I imagine Rob The Robot (from the YouTube game review show) saying "Boogerman" in his robot-y voice. I just watched his review of Boogerman not too long ago.

Haha! While I've never actually played Earthworm Jim, (I know, I know. For shame.) I have played Boogerman. I just could never really get into it. Not my type of game I guess, although I do recognize it was a classic.NathanBarnatt wrote:Boogerman is definitely due some poops.
