while I love the intro to the EU Sonic CD, I prefer the in-stage tracks of the US version. So my vote goes to the US version.

I haven't decided yet because right now I'm making the choice whether I like the game over theme of the USA or the game over of the EU. I also have to give the boss music to the USA version as it sounded very menacing, especially Dr. Robotnik's evil santa laugh.GSZX1337 wrote:while I love the intro to the EU Sonic CD, I prefer the in-stage tracks of the US version. Sonic Boom wins.
I voted both though because I hate this argument. lol, I'm more nostalgic for the US OST, but no denying the EU/JP OST is amazing stuff as well. I love playing through both versions.

I voted both.
I think its silly when people actually argue over it. Each version has its superior tracks, but both are great.
As for the title themes though, Sonic Boom is by far the best.

You hate it? I put so much thought into it T_TXeogred wrote:Sonic Boom wins.

I'm still deciding. When I watch the actual intro video, the EU looks in sync with the video clip where the US does not ( I watch the actual animation, not the Sega CD cut that skipped every other frame and some scenes such as Sonic dashing through the water )

I chose Sonic Boom.
It's just the kind of cheesy song you would've expected from SEGA.

So much thought into it? ... well it's not you, it's just been something people have been arguing about online for like 10 years now. I've heard even Spencer Nilsen has spoken out about how silly it is that some fans are so torn on the two versions. Frankly, I wish this happened more often! Like with Sonic 3D Blast on the Genesis vs the Saturn port, or the Ecco games on the Genesis vs their CD ports... all it is to me is win-win situations, it's just awesome to hear "alternative" soundtracks to the games if you want to call them that.AdamGomez1987 wrote:You hate it? I never said I had a lot of originality
As for Sonic 3D Blast, I choose Sega Saturn any day. I owned them both and I used to wonder what the difference was between Sonic 3D blast and Sonic Adventure (forgive me..I was only 13 at the time, a young innocent mind doesn't know the difference in these 3D type of games, I also fell into confusion of Super Mario RPG Legend of the Seven Stars vs Super Mario 64 which I was like 9 at the time so that confusion was even worst

I love both versions.
As far as the opening song goes, I think Sonic Boom has more nostalgia value for me. When I first heard it as a kid, I remember thinking it lacked the "edge" that Sonic should have, but it really grew on me.
Toot Toot Sonic Warrior always seemed kind of weird to me. (Fortunately, I like weird.)
