NES PROBLEMS
NES PROBLEMS
Ok I just tried to disable my CIC chip in my nes ..it no longer blinks. But even before that my screen would just stay a gray or blue color and not read the game. I replaced the 72 pin connector about a month ago. I do not know what to do. I even swapped out the guts from an old nes I had and put the new 72 on that and disabled the CIC..it does the same thing!!!!! I just wanna play my nes lol

Re: NES PROBLEMS
As I noted in the other thread, 'cleaning' with windex is not good. At the very least you should go over your carts with alcohol though you may need to clean the 72 pin now that the windex has left perfume and dye all over it.

Re: NES PROBLEMS
I got your point on the windex. This has nothing to do with cleaning solutions lol. The 72 pin connector I am using has never had a windex infected cart enter it. I took your advice...used the alcohol...no results. the system wont even register there is a game present or show anything but a gray screen. There is no blinking. I am not the most savy individual on how electronics work but I am trying.

Re: NES PROBLEMS
All righty. Since this is a new 72 pin, if it is a tight one, have you tried without pushing it down?

Re: NES PROBLEMS
with out the ejection system ordeal down lol? sorry. Ya I have tried that. it remains a dark grey color. But I do believe I have figured it out. It will read all my games perfectly without the black piece (sry dont know the name) that surrounds the 72. But when I put that black thing back on that moves up and down it gives me the gray screen again....?

Re: NES PROBLEMS
Did you get the tray put back on properly? There's a little tab that goes over the front edge of the board.
