Re: Battlefield 3 ?
Playing this game on pc over console is almost a must imo. I didnt like the quick time events much on the campaign, but there were some fun parts as well. The multiplayer has been very addicting so far, and Ive had a blast with it.

Re: Battlefield 3 ?
Another thing that's bothering me with the PC is the inconsistent frame rate, even vyncsing the game doesn't help much. I'm currently playing the Thunder Run bit.. The multiplayer doesn't even come close to scripting gaming

Re: Battlefield 3 ?
Seriously. Apart from a few moments of pleasure this game is just frustrating the crap out of me.
My favourite moment of multiplayer so far has to be Damavand Peak, base jumping, whipping the Stinger out and taking down not one, but two enemy choppers before touching the ground and then stabbing a guy. I felt like fucking rambo or some shit. Even moments like that can't elevate my opinion of the multiplayer which is just cripplingly frustrating compared to the pure bliss of BC2...

Honestly when I watched a trailer of BF3 and BC2 Vietnam back to back... Vietnam looked insanely awesome, I still want to check that out sometime. I still have no idea what to think of BF3 though (haven't played it myself, but everyone seems torn on it).
Re: Battlefield 3 ?
I don't understand this comment. BF3 seems better than BC2 in every way to me.Niode wrote:Even moments like that can't elevate my opinion of the multiplayer which is just cripplingly frustrating compared to the pure bliss of BC2...

Re: Battlefield 3 ?
I backed out last minute in favor of the MGS hd collection and Skyrim. Finally will attempt MGS and Iam in the mood for Skyrims character customization and open exploration.
I did however was really impressed with BF3 beta, but being a map editor I feel that BF and COD are just rank fest that are boring to me playing on the same maps over and over again.

Re: Battlefield 3 ?
The combat is hideously unbalanced. I'm sick of dying without understanding why. Every time you died in BC2, you knew why. Sure there was the odd time where lag reared it's ugly head and you got done out of a kill but you knew you were a better class of player and you if you stuck together you could get shit done. I very rarely lost a match on BC2, my W/L ratio is 2.48. I could go days without losing a match, because I knew that if we worked together we could destroy any team. BF3 just seems to have gained a bunch of fucking COD morons that just want to camp. I've seen so many games where the top player is a fucking sniping piece of shit with 35 kills and 0 deaths. Just because they've played the game non-stop since it came out to unlock all the bullshit upgrades for the sniper rifle. If that's fun to them, whatever, but it's not fun being stuck in your fucking spawn because you're getting sniped as soon as you pop your head out. The sniping issue was a pain in BC2 but it was rectifiable, even the most basic of sniper rifle was fairly capable, the M24 wasn't that bad of a rifle, even the default scope was adequate. BF3 you get a piece of shit Mod0 with the worst scope I've ever seen. I've unlocked scopes for the sub machines guns that are better. The weapon loadout and unlocks just seems so stacked against newbies it's frustrating to play. It actually makes me want to not play as any other class since I'm essentially starting at ground zero. Don't even get me started on the fucking jets... Jesus...Stark wrote:I don't understand this comment. Re: Battlefield 3 ?
Hmm ... maybe it's because I only play Rush mode? I haven't seen very much of the sniping or camping in those games. I would agree on the weapon loadout somewhat, I wish there was bit better scope and whatnot starting out, because to me one of the fun things of BF is to switch classes alot based on what is needed. This seems to punish that unless you've significantly leveled a few of the classes.Niode wrote:The combat is hideously unbalanced. I'm sick of dying without understanding why. I only play Rush and I have experienced a ridiculous amount of sniping...Stark wrote:Hmm ... maybe it's because I only play Rush mode? Re: Battlefield 3 ?
Eh it is there, but it hasn't been detrimental to the experience. Snipers don't cap flags. Or if a sniper sits too long in a spot, go flush him out.Niode wrote:I only play Rush and I have experienced a ridiculous amount of sniping...Stark wrote:Hmm ... maybe it's because I only play Rush mode?
