I lost tv out on my Nvidia card

Post by arion »

It used to work just fine but suddenly it just decided to not work. I've fiddled with just about anything the nvidia control panel lets me resolution , refresh rates , connection type and signal type.

But all it amounts to is i see the desktop flicker for a bit on the tv before it decides to go away again.

It's a gforce 8400gs winxp sp3 and the tv is a old sony triniton.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated im totally at a loss here :D

I've tried reloading the drivers already and the results are the same. What nags me is the fact that it did work and for quite some time too.

Can you find the 'force vigorous tv detection' or whatever option? I remember having to do that with my older TV for it to cooperate. Or is it that the card it outputting but the TV just doens't like it? What about adjusting the TV output resolution? For SD TV out you can generally choose 640x480 up to 1024x768 even though it will squash the bigger ones down.
