Skyrim is out in about two weeks, why would anyone consider buying a game now?
If I had to get a shooter, I'd get Halo Anniversary.

sometimes I feel like the only gamer on the planet who doesn't care about Skyrim or Batman. On the other hand, I picked up BF3 knowing that I'll put it down as soon as Uncharted 3 gets here...

I've never played the Batman games simply because Batman doesn't interest me that much. But I do hear they are actually very good. I couldn't stand Oblivion or Fallout 3... So Skyrim... Those Batman games don't interest me one bit, as I generally dislike Western Hollywood-inspired games. I hate Bethesda so I'm skeptical about Skyrim.
