A Genesis list would be difficult for me to do, as I've probably got very little to say others don't. "Blah blah blah Sonic 1-3, blah blah Streets of Rage 2, blah Megaman Wily Wars, lol the Sega CD except for Lunar Snatcher and Popful Mail, etc. Even with that said, I'd like to do my personal favorite Genesis/Sega CD games list someday, but there are systems that are much more dear to me that I want to cover first.

What do you guys want to see after I finish the NES list? I'm thinking SNES, N64 or GameCube as I've got some great recommendations for those systems as well.
Hmm, I wasn't much of a genesis player when I was younger but i've been buying up plenty at the moment but I don't really know whats good.

As for what next I'd say SNES. Great system with plenty of great games but lots of hidden gems. N64 list would be short, maybe top-50.

Maybe Gameboy?

SNES. I want to know what else I'm missing on besides more Bomberman games, Secret of Mana 2, and Terranigma.

Satoshi, I'm really enjoying this Top 100. One of the most interesting and thorough lists I've encountered. Looking forward to seeing how it shapes up.

As for a next list, I'll jump on the SNES bandwagon.

Super Nintendo Entertainment System and Super Famicom it shall be then. Just a slight disclaimer before I actually do start such a list:

My knowledge of SNES/SFC games mostly comes from three genres: direct action (the platformers, beat em ups, etc) RPGs, and shooters. As such, a SNES list won't be quite as well balanced as I don't know the SNES and SFC library thoroughly like I know the NES. Still though if you like my GameBoy and NES guides, then you'll like my SNES one as well.

For now though, I plan to finish up the NES guide. I hope to have the next part up soon so stay tuned.

The game may be in Manrain Chinese, but with any prior experience with any of the English Pokémon games you’ll be able to jump right into this one as it is so similar to the original version of Yellow that player’s guides written for the original will apply to this pirate as well!
I think "Manrain" is misspelled, but it is also superfluous as there is only one (written) Chinese language. I'm curious about your future review, as to whether the pirate cart still uses hidden EV points, has a more balanced elemental system (because RBY was pretty harsh on Poison and Insect types while turning Psychics into gods.), and if the single cart allows one to capture all 151 critters without trading. (How recent is this pirate cart?)
As the only non-pirate Fighting game for the Famicom, Joy Mech Fight is as much a technical achievement as it is a recommended game.
What, TMNT never made it, but there are plenty of fighters on the Famicom. From Pro-Wrestling games to arena-brawlers like Kakutou Densetsu and Urban Champion, and anime-based games like Dragon Ball and Yuu Yuu Hakusho, they do exist. Still taken aback at how a game resembling BALLZ is on the Top-100 ANYthing.

Nice to see Nemo in there, and wow did you rate him highly.
In the year 2030, a group of military renegades known as Metal Command are selling to conquer the world by building an army of cyborg soldiers. After alosing both arms in a near fatal skirmish with Metal Command, a young police offier named Steve Hermann is fitted with two specially developed cybernetic arms to allow him to carry out a normal life.
Comforting to know you also found SotN much easier compared to SH.

And Guerrilla War also kicks SNK's ports of Ikari Warriors to the curb despite being the same game by the same developer.
Outside of the GameBoy connection, there’s really nothing else you can play on the NES that’s like Gargoyle’s Quest II. The platforming mixed with the RPG elements...
...actually resembles the gameplay of Zelda II. Granted, in the same proportion as SMB3 resembled SMB1. Ultimately, GQ2 and even Z2 were more straight-forward than CV2 and Metroid.
My scheduling skills have died of dysentery; I hope to visit at least on a monthly basis.
Still, don't forget to tip your waitress.

I've never fully understood the EV/IV system, so I can't say for sure one way or the other, but my gut feeling is such a hidden system was dropped by the pirate. The type match ups are based on the way the were in Gold/Silver/Crystal, not R/B/Y. Pokemon (for the most part) learn attacks according to what they'd get in G/S/C, and attacks that were changed there are changed here, such as Bite being a Dark type move. Yes, the game allows you to capture all 151 Pokemon (although exactly how you get Mew I'm not sure) the game gets around Pokemon that evolve through trading to evolve at around level 60. The pirate is from 2005.

There are a small handful of fighting-ish games, but nothing on the level of Joy Mech Fight. The only thing that comes close is the Dragonball Z Barcode game that was released in Japan.

I am really digging this list!

I just started building my NES collection, but I actually have little to no experience in the NES/Fami library. This list will be a great help :)

Can't wait to see the next installment

I'd vote for Gamecube. There's SNES lists galore available but I'd like to see what you have to say about the GC after your excellent GBC list. If you're feeling ambitious you could always do a top GC/GBA Player list but that might be a little much...

I'm actually switching my vote too. I'd still like to see all the Super Famicom stuff, but in all honesty, whatever you know best, I'll be into that.
