Beat Hazard Ultra adds so much to the game, it becomes completely different, and much better.
A ton of new weapons, new enemies and patterns. It's more than worth it.
Overlooked DLC
Re: Overlooked DLC
If you like DLC, don't buy it. If enough people stop buying DLC, they will be forced to include it on the disc, like they used to do just a few years ago.

I don't buy DLC, unless it is something that dramatically changes the game.Inazuma wrote:If you like DLC, don't buy it. If enough people stop buying DLC, they will be forced to include it on the disc, like they used to do just a few years ago.
Before DLC there was expansion packs, that is how DLC should be used, paying $3 for a new skin is a joke. Day one DLC is a joke as well (if not free).

To you and I, it's a joke but there must be people buying them to make it profitable.emwearz wrote:paying $3 for a new skin is a joke.

Re: Overlooked DLC
The Maw, perhaps an overlooked game itself, had some great DLC. The DLC levels were three extra levels that "fit between" the original levels. If I recall, two of them were levels with just standard gameplay, but that were a bit longer than any of the original levels, and the third was a sort of overhead shooter.

Yeah I actually enjoyed the DLC for this game more than the main game itself. Good stuff all around though.ethinethin wrote:The Maw, perhaps an overlooked game itself, had some great DLC. My sister thinks it's worth $5 to have a different skin for her portable systems. She'd probably pay $3 for a new skin for her in-game character if she had any games like that.gtmtnbiker wrote:To you and I, it's a joke but there must be people buying them to make it profitable.emwearz wrote:paying $3 for a new skin is a joke.

Re: Overlooked DLC
I just can't buy DLC if it doesn't somehow dramatically improve the game or act as an expansion pack. I've bought complete games for less than the price of some garbage DLC.
That being said. I have DLC for GTA4, Borderlands, Fallout 3, Left4Dead (i have it on 360

Re: Overlooked DLC
By far the best DLC I have seen is the free "Coast to Coast" expansion for Railroad Tycoon 3. It introduces a dozen or so incredibly good maps that really push the envelope of the game foward. Really great stuff and also quite hard, a true challenge for those who already beat the campaign!
