Straight to the point I don't like the PC engine. I've spent the last few days going through the systems libary (through the use of an emulator) and when you take away the arcade ports and look at the exclusives the consoles weaknesses are exposed to the point where they are pretty much being shoved in your face.
A lot of the libary is made of dull, boring, generic games that try and copy something better, the worst offender are shooters, there are dozen of them and not may of them match up to something like Thunder Force IV on Mega Drive or R-Type III on SNES. How NEC thought they could challange sega and nintendo in the US with those exclusives are beyond me. Don't get me wrong there are a few good games but at the end of the game that is all they are, good games, not classic games or excellent games just good games.
I'm sure many of you would disagree with me on this but I think that as a console the appeal is limited and it lacks killer apps, the type of killer must have games that would have made people buy the console in US. Of course I am mainly talking about the Hucards, there were better games on the CD add-on I'm sure but even then they seem few and far between.
Systems you don't like.

Re: Systems you don't like.
The only games I ever found particularly enjoyable on PC are Strategy type games in the vein of Age of Empires or __insert whatever here__ Tycoon.
Console wise, I don't really have any that I personally don't like. I don't intend on buying a Saturn ever though because the majority of it's library are games that don't particularly interest me.
I'm not a fan Xbox either for the same reasons, and the games it does get that interest me are found on Playstation as well so...

Nintendo 64. I haven't ever liked it. I remember seeing the early Ultra 64 promotional materials and thinking it was a terrible idea.
It's the only Nintendo system that has zero games for me.

Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Nintendo 64. Ugliest graphics ever and only a few good games worth playing.
Jaguar. Even worse than the N64.
As for the PC Engine, trying to play all of its games in a short period of time can make you not like a system. As with all systems, there are more bad games than good.

N64 blows. Has absolutely nothing to offer to me, personally. Poor library is the biggest problem (yeah yeah I know there are some good games). That console turned me away from Nintendo for good.
Re: Systems you don't like.
I don't like most non-Japanese systems, and also systems that either don't work at all, or you can't own the games. Xbox 360 manages to meet all of the above criteria.
The N64 is one of my favorite consoles. Yeah, the graphics haven't aged well, but they look a lot better than 3D PS1 and Saturn games. The N64 was the last major console to use cartridges. The library is fairly small, but there are a lot of games that are just plain fun. It is also one of the best consoles for local multiplayer.

I am with the N64 camp. I got it at launch because I was so excited to play Pilotwings64. I enjoyed the game but that was it...I have had the system since launch and owned a total of three games for it. Mario 64, Pilotwings64, and Rogue Squadron. I got a brand new PS1 a few months later and didn't fire up the N64 until my review of Pilotwings 64 which I did earlier this year.
On a side note, I LOVE the PC Engine. There's just something about it. Some quirky games that weren't released on any other system. The TurboGrafx on the other hand, never got into it because of its limited library. The system was way better in its home turf.

You need to play Tetrisphere. It is one of my favorite puzzle games and a perfect example of a hidden gem. It never came out in Japan by the way.hashiriya1 wrote:I am with the N64 camp.
