I've been in this situation before. It basically was all I did in '09 and '10: amass, then purge. (no, not like that, you sicko! )

I was satisfied by what my last large lot sold for on eBay last year. So to answer, "Any advice on how to get a good price on the following?",

Have a decent eBay feedback rating. Create a listing with large photos that hyperlink to even larger versions. Everything in the lot must be pictured. Have one 'overall' picture and a few close-ups. Correctly and completely list the entire collection with a little blurb about all the games you can stand to write up. Use a bit of formatting- bold, a little color, headline text sizes. Start the auction with a low first bid ($49?), create it for seven or ten days, timed to end on a Saturday evening around 7 to 8 PM Pacific time. List free shipping with the auction.

Now to answer the question(s) you DIDN'T ask!

I think software is more valuable than hardware. If you want to hedge your decision, still clear up some space and still have some pocket change, then sell the systems and put the games in a box in the closet, attic, basement or (weather-proofed) garage.

To me, your proposal still leaves a ton of gizmos and toys around the house. Four "retro" systems PLUS all three current-gen systems would drown me. But to each his own.

And I think that "sum of each item minus $2 per item as a lot" is a little optimistic, but I could be wrong. I'd expect a lot to sell more like 66% of the per-title value. Maybe I just have low standards. :o
