Retromags is such an awesome site. I was reading through old SNES-era EGM issues the other day.

Yeah. They have every issue that I had when I got rid of my boxes of mags, been having a lot of fun going through them.

Also, I'd totally forgotten just how much older gaming mags loved fighting games. I guess before the internet GamePro's "Fighters Edge" section was about the only place to get full movelists for fighting games, but they gave them sooo much coverage it was unreal.

I used it to rediscover my love for Nintendo Power - I had every issue up until sometime in 1995. Now, though, I have to rebuy them all again.

It's really sad to see Gamepro go down like this, but it was inevitable. It used to be so great :(

Well, another gaming mag bites the dust. They were going to go quarterly but now they canceled that as well. They're pulling the plug. This one is especially sad for me because I grew up with GamePro. GamePro and EGM always competed for my lunch money. EGM usually won, but I still have my GamePro issues from the early 90s.

I haven't bought a game mag since Tips & Tricks went down the drain.

I haven't bought a game mag since the internet became a good source of video game news. It was sometime in the late 90's, I think.
